TempleOS is an operating system built entirely by one man, Terry Davis.

Davis believed that TempleOS is the Third Temple  prophesied by the Bible. It is coded in a variation of the coding language C that he dubbed HolyC.

He received a revelation from God that spurred him to create the project and stated that he had been given the gift of divine intellect. 

Davis was also a diagnosed schizophrenic and died on August 11, 2018 after being hit by a train.
